19 Objective of the Course: Main purpose of the course is to deal with early modern period which witnessed so many important developments and formed the shape of modern Europe. Moreover it also aimed to assess the impact of French Revolution. Nationalism and liberalism.

21 Learning Outcomes:
1 To be able to explain the terms of modernism, modernisation and modernisation project. ;
2 To be able to grasp the importance of the French Revolution which effected the whole globe. ;
3 To be able to understand the emergence of nationalsim, equality and freedom in Europe. ;
4 To be able to explain the tensions between the expansionist nature of capitalism and the notion of nation state. ;
5 To be able to interpret the colonionalism as an decisive factor in shaping the world history. ;
6 To be able to exemplify how the modern institutions and values spread to the non western countries. ;
7 To be able to evaluate the very nature and way of ornazitaion of modern societies. ;
8 To be able to catch the roots of the balance of politic powers in our times.;

2 Industrialization, democratizaiton and secularization as determinants of Modernism,
3 Emergence of industrializaiton in England.
4 Industrial revolution and emergence of working class.
5 Political power strugle between England and France
6 Seven years war and struggle of benefit over colonies (1756-1763)
7 Historical background of French Revolution
8 Impact of French revolution upon Europe and globe.
9 Europe between 1817-1871: A general evaluation.
10 Europe between 1871-1914: A general evaluation.
11 I. World War: reasons of the war.
12 I. World War: involving parts and the course of war.
13 I. World War: results of the war and balance of power.
