19 Objective of the Course: To acquire the tecniques and speech rules and to gain a basis on which they could use their voice and speech organs effectively

21 Learning Outcomes:
1 To be able to define the rules of diction.;
2 To be able to speak verbalize senses and ideas effectively.;
3 To be able to form to talk and speak within the rules of diction.;
4 To be able to explain the main principles of reading and writing in Turkish.;
5 To be able to gain the ability to use of the Turkish language.;
6 To be able to pay attention to the harmony of the voice to transfer their ideas and emotions correctly to the others/listeners while talking or speaking.;
7 To be able to apply articulation, pronounciation and stress of the words and sentences properly.;
22 Course Content:
Week Theoretical Practical
1 The definition of diction, the speech rules and functions.
2 Voice and voice techniques.
3 Diaphragm, exercises for diaphragm and practices on the text.
4 The definition of stress, it’s rules and functions, completeness of voice and stress.
5 Stress and diaphgram. Sentence, word, syllable stress.
6 Definition of liasions, its rules and functions, liasions and voice.
7 Vowels and consonants in Turkish language. Articulations of vocals and consonants.
8 Repeating courses- Midterm exam
9 Apophony and articulation.
10 Punctuation in Turkish, its properties and use of it in diction. The relation between the punctuation and breath marks.
11 Aesthetic in speaking and narration
12 Variety in speaking and narration.
13 Rhytm and mobility in speaking and narration.
14 Application of technical-ruling exercises.
