| 19 | Objective of the Course: | The objective of this course, in the context of music theory and ear training studies, is to equip students with the ability to perceive and identify polyphonic textures; the ability to perform horizontal and vertical dictation; the ability to identify rhythmic structures; the ability to perform advanced analysis and deciphering and the ability to sight-read and dictate musical notation all backed with theoretical knowledge. In addition, students are expected to develop sufficient knowledge of methods and techniques for teaching in ear training. |
