19 Objective of the Course: The purpose of this course is to get the students of higher religious education to examine the historical environment revealing Sufi poetry, and to introduce the literary milieu; to teach the definition of this literature and theoretical issues concerning its scope and objective; to show the relationship of the literary field with other areas; to indicate mystical symbols

21 Learning Outcomes:
1 The ability to explain the general characteristics of Turkish Sufi Literature;;
2 The ability to understand the effect of Sufism to art and literature The ability to understand the effect of Sufism to art and literature ;;
3 The ability to examine Sufi literature sources;;
4 To learn the periods of Sufi literature with major schools and poets who are glad to observe in these schools;;
5 To recognize the literary genres derived from Sufism and the relationship of these genres in other literary fields;
6 To recognize the classics of world literature presented by Turkish SufiLiterature ;;
7 The ability to determine the effect of Sufi literature to classical, folk and modern literature ;;
8 The ability to comment of morphologic features of Sufi literature in terms of classical poetry, and folk poetry;;
9 The ability to explain the contribution of Sufi literature to the formation of national culture and personality;;
10 The ability to analyze the mystical symbols ;

8 Anatolia's spirit: Yunus Emre and his followers
9 The condemnation and Poetry: Haci Bayram Veli and his followers
10 Genres, topics and texts: Stories of saints
11 Genres, topics and texts: Hikmet, Ilahi, Nefes and Nutk
12 Concept of being in the mystical thought, and the poems of revolution theory
13 Concept of love in the mystical thought, and love mesnevis
14 Sufistic Mesnevis: The books of Morality, Propriety and Procedures
