Objective of the Course:
To enable student to read, understand and use sources of history of Islam written in Ottoman Turkish

Gains the ability to recognize, read and use the sources written in Ottoman.

The ability to read and understand general characteristics of Arabs in pre-Islamic period from texts written in Ottoman Turkish;

The ability to read and comprehend the life of the Prophet Muhammad from Ottoman Turkish texts;
3
The ability to read the period of Rightly Guided Caliphs in Ottoman Turkish and make comparison between them;
4
The ability to evaluate and analyze disorders occurred during the times of Caliphs Othman and Ali through Ottoman Turkish texts;
5
The ability to analyze the transformation of the administration from caliphate to sultanate through Ottoman Turkish texts;
6
The ability to evaluate characteristics of Umayyad Dynasty, especially their Mewali policy through Ottoman Turkish texts;

The ability to analyze the Abbasid revolution and their characteristics via Ottoman Turkish texts;

The ability to evaluate Andalusian Umayyad, Fatimid and Mamluk States through Ottoman Turkish texts;
