Objective of the Course: |
The primary aim of this course is to analyze thinkers, idea currents and events that had an impact on Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’s world view. In other words, this course introduces the student the intellectual legacy that shaped Atatürk’s strategy during the process of “independence and founding”. In this context, this course focuses on the cognitive factors such as perceptions, images, belief-value systems and analogies that affected Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’s decisions. By using “Speech and Declarations”, this course introduces a wide data about Atatürk’s ideas on several concepts such as national sovereignty, law, economy, education, culture, art and foreign policy. In doing this, paradigm of rulership is intended to reveal in the early Republic period. |
