19 Objective of the Course: In this course, teaching basic knowledges about diplomatic history and in this context, to contribute construction of formation and substructure of other IR department courses which was taken or will be taken by students during their undergraduate education properly is purposing. Toward this purpose, development of civilizations and revolutions in this process (American Revolution, French Revolution, The Congress of Vienna, 1830-1848 Revolutions, Industrial Revolution and conclusions of Industrian Revolution) is explaining. Also related to content of course, foreign policy of Ottoman Empire and Turkish War of Independence is analysed within the context of causes, process and conclusions of World War I elaborately.

21 Learning Outcomes:
1 To be able to use basic concepts of Diplomatic History appropriately;
2 To be able to construct formations and substructures which students will take other IR courses during undergraduate education to contribute.;
3 To be able to comprehend transformations of Diplomatic History until the end of World War I Era;
4 To be able to determine historical aspects of current international issues via reading sources in Turkish and Foreign literature;
