19 Objective of the Course: Basic parasitological terms and definitions as well as the general biology, reproduction, transmission routes, pathogenicity of parasites, zoonose parasites and general prophylaxis measures against parasitic diseases are given to the students.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development A veterinarian health technician is trained to recognize parasites and learn how to prevent parasitic diseases.

4 The student learns reproduction of parasites ;
5 The student learns infection route of parasites ;

1 Aim and objective of the course, definition of parasitological terms Fecal examination methods (flotation)
2 Nomenclature of parasites Fecal examination methods (sedimentation)
3 General features of parasites Fecal examination methods (Baermann-Wetzel)
4 Host – parasite interactions, life cycle Morphological examination of trematode,cestode,nematode eggs.
5 Infection route of parasites Examination of Cryptosporidium in positive calve faeces
6 Infection route of parasites Preparing and staining blood film
7 Repeating courses and midterm exam Examination of Theileriosis in cattle blood and inspection of slides
8 Zoones helminths and protozoones Examination of Babesiosis in sheep blood and inspection of slides
9 Vector and intermediate relationships between hosts and arthropods and prevention Microscopical examination of louse, flea and tick
10 Parasites in the ecosystem Presentation of the usage of drugs against ectoparasites in videos
11 Effects of parasites on their hosts Presentation of the hidatidosis in videos
12 Diagnostic methods in parasitological diseases Presentation of the coccidiosis in videos.
